Create Standard and Combo Menu Items
Accessing the Menu Section
- From your Dashboard, go to Menu.
- Click the specific menu you want to edit.
- Select a category, the click Create New Item.
Creating a Standard Item
- Choose "Standard" as the item type.
- Fill in the following details:
- Name (required)
- Price (required)
- Display Name: Overrides how the name appears to customers
- Print Name: Used for kitchen printing
- Subtitle/Description: Optional - great for promos or item notes
- Select applicable tax.
- Click Save.
The item will now appear on your front end. You may need to refresh to see updates.
Add an Image and Tags
- Go to the Image & Tags tab.
- Upload an image from:
- Your Device
- Google Drive
- Paste and image URL
- Choose Tags to help organize and filter items.
If you haven't created tags yet, go to your Menu Tags settings to add them.
Add Options and Ingredients
- Click Edit on the item, then go to Options and ingredients.
- Assign Option Sets like pizza sizes or drink add-ons.
- Use Points to limit free choices and apply extra charges.
- Set a Primary Option Set to show variable prices (e.g., Small, Medium, Large).
- Under Ingredients, list all components so customers can remove or modify them.
Creating a Combo Item
- Choose "Combo" as the item type.
- Enter:
- Name
- Price
- Combo Price Type:
- Standard: Fixed price
- Difference: Adjusted based on selected items
- Add optional fields:
- Display Name
- Description
- Subtitle
- Use Blacklist Option Sets to exclude unwanted customizations (e.g., size or extras).
- Set the tax, upload an image, and add tags as needed.
Add items to the Combo
- Click Item Choice.
- Click Add Choice for each item in the combo.
- For example, if it's 2 pizzas and 1 drink, create 3 choices.
- Ensure those standard items already exist.
- Click Save when done.
Front-End Behaviour
- Combo item displays with your selected standard items.
- Blacklisted Options will not appear.
- Pricing follows your selected Combo Price Type.
Try placing a test order to confirm everything looks right.
